Friendly Matches

We frequently arrange friendly matches against Clubs within an approximate distance of 30 miles from Seaton.  All of these fixtures are mixed and are played mainly on a home and away basis. There are a few matches throughout the season where we travel further afield and make a 'day out' of it.

Competitive Matches

The Club competes in the following external competitions:

MEN:

  1. Cup Competitions: Devon County Trophy, National Top Club, County Top Club, Foxlands.

  2. League Competition :Exeter & District Over “60s” Triples.

LADIES:

  1. Cup Competitions: Devon County Interclub, National Top Club, Devon Grace Matthews.

  2. League Competition: Exeter & District Over “50s” Triples.

MIXED:

East of Exe Mixed Bowls league

Members can also pay to enter for the various County and National Competitions. There are numerous internal Club Competitions, both singles and pairs, for all club members culminating in a finals weekend in September.

Tours

Each year we receive visits from a number of bowling clubs touring the West Country. We welcome such visits and aim to make the games as friendly and entertaining as possible. Our Club is located in Sea Hill, Seaton - a beautiful area in Seaton with extensive views over the Jurassic Coast. 

Rink fees are currently £18.00 per rink and we have the facility to provide 7 rinks.

At tea time we offer a delicious Devon cream tea. Our well stocked bar is manned throughout the duration of the game, as well as afterwards.

​

A coach parking facility is available in Seaton at The Underfleet, a ten minute walk away from our ground. Coaches carrying touring sides normally drop off the visitors and equipment opposite the ground in Sea Hill and then head for the coach park.

  3. Mixed triples Either 1 man and 2 ladies or 2 men and 1 lady

  4. Ladies Invitation Mixed Pairs

  5. President's Cup  4 wood singles  Open to the top 4 of the Ladies' and Men's Championship.

  6. Price Cup: Ladies v. Gentlemen

  7. Saward Cup: 4 wood singles for ladies and gentlemen defeated in the first round of the Championships
